Tell them to Remove Section 230-like Language from the NAFTA Agreement!

Congress recently passed legislation amending Section 230 of the CDA to clarify that websites knowingly facilitating sex trafficking are not afforded the broad immunity from civil liability and state criminal prosecution - we must not allow the original lanuguage to slip back into NAFTA which allowed website execs to seek immunity!

I am calling to express my strong desire to have Section 230-like language removed from the NAFTA trade agreement as it could deal a devastating blow to sex trafficking survivors by immunizing bad actors who knowingly facilitate sex trafficking – the exact opposite outcome for which many have fought so hard to achieve with the passage of FOSTA-SESTA.

I urge members of Congress to implore the Administration to remove this language from NAFTA. We must keep in tact the protections and legislative intent provided under FOSTA-SESTA, which Congress fought so hard to overwhelmingly pass.

Thank you.
