Hundreds Arrested in International Child Pornography Sting

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents continue to make arrests in “Operation Sunflower,” a five-week international ICE sting to rescue victims of child pornography. The unit has identified and rescued 110 child victims in the U.S., and 13 outside the country. Forty-six of the victims were younger than 12; five of them were younger than three.

“We always applaud law enforcement when they take down a group like this,” said Donna Rice Hughes, president of Enough is Enough, a nonprofit organization in Virginia dedicated to preventing Internet-initiated crimes against children. “All of these stings are important — they add up and send a loud and clear message to pedophiles and child molesters that this won’t be tolerated.”
