Internet Safety 101^® Town Hall Meeting
 

 

On June 10, 2010, Enough Is Enough^® (EIE) will join Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity to educate, equip and empower parents, educators and other caring adults in the community with the knowledge and resources needed to better protect children online.  For many parents, defending children against online dangers can seem like a daunting task.  EIE will seek to give attendees the simple steps they can take to help the children under their care enjoy the many benefits of the Internet.  The evening's program will cover the essential technical and non-technical safety basics you need to know to protect children from the online threats of pornography, sexual predators, and cyberbullies, as well as how to keep kids safe on social networking sites, gaming and mobile devices.  Local law enforcement will also be present to talk about what they are doing in Fairfax County to protect children from online threats.
