Parents, this is disturbing, but necessary to share.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) arrested a man Tuesday whom they say groomed dozens of children online and then told them to engage in sexual acts with others, all while portraying himself to be a young girl named "Lizzy."
More than 80 child victims have been identified in the United States in connection to Demetrius Carl Davis, 24, accused of grooming and having children produce child pornography. The victims vary in age, but deputies say they range between six and 13 years old.
Davis allegedly directed children to make child pornography that showed them in sexual acts with siblings or other kids. Davis is also accused of speaking to victims in sexually explicit language and sending them child pornography videos.
SCSO believes Davis communicated with well over 100 children between late 2020 and December 2021 and urges parents to check their child's electronic devices.
If you believe your child engaged in illicit communications/content over the internet with a subject named "Lizzy" via social media or messaging apps, please contact SCSO Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force: 916-874-3002 or icac@sacsheriff.com.
