OnlyFans Reverses Ban on Explicit Content - It's All About the Bottom Line

On Wednesday, OnlyFans announced it would drop its plans to ban sexually explicit content, citing they have "secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community."

As the sexual exploitation of children on the internet is at an all-time high, there is no logical scenario in which "assurances" can be made as long as reports of sex trafficking and predatory content continue, including filmed child sex abuse and non-consensually recorded sex acts.

Last week, Enough Is Enough® and many of our coalition partners applauded OnlyFans for its decision to ban pornographic content on its platform, but based on yesterday's announcement, that applause was evidently premature.

Their actions were based on the need to comply with policies of banking partners; this was never about corporate responsibility or protecting those exploited on its platform.
This is yet another example of Big Tech's desire to put profit over human dignity and safety. While Enough Is Enough® is disappointed in OnlyFans' short-lived announcement, its decision comes as no surprise. Enough Is Enough® joins calls by bi-partisan Congressional Members and coalition partners in asking the Department of Justice to immediately investigate OnlyFans for child exploitation.

Make no mistake, Enough Is Enough®, advocates and parterns will be keeping a watchful eye on OnlyFans. The reckless endangerment of our most vulnerable must be stopped.

Enough Is Enough® could really use your most generous gift today to help us stand up against tech giants who prioritize their bottom line over the safety and innocence of children. Click the DONATE link at the top of the website.
