ICYMI - Donna's Op-Ed and Broadcast Interview on "Twitter P*rn" and DOJ's Need to Step Up Priorities to Protect Children Online

Dear Friend,

I hope you'll take a moment to view the news stories below featuring Enough Is Enough® aimed at holding Big Tech and DOJ accountable to protect children online!

My Op-Ed, Protecting children from sexual exploitation is a low priority for Twitter and the DOJ, was published in The Hill in response to two recent reports:

  • An FBI alleged policy shift redirecting vital government resources aimed at investigating and prosecuting offenses related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

  • A report revealing 30 major brands suspended their marketing campaigns on Twitter’s platform after learning their promotions appeared alongside tweets soliciting child sexual abuse material.

“In spite of the fact that the DOJ has an entire department, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, whose mandate is to aggressively prosecute all laws designed to prevent child exploitation, DOJ gets an “F” for its failure to do so.”

“The government must prioritize the prevention of online exploitation of children, allocate necessary funding for the prosecution of offenders and aggressively enforce all existing laws (including obscenity laws) designed to protect children online. Big Tech must prioritize child safety over profit and implement technologies that are safer by design.”
Also, please check out my segment on Washington Watch as we discuss the need for DOJ to enforce laws designed to protect children online.

Finally, in case you missed it earlier, I appeared on The Water Cooler with David Brodyto discuss the outrage over Twitter’s continued lack of lack of immediate action to identify and promptly remove CSAM. Catch the segment here:

Friend, I can promise this, we won't stay quiet as long as profits are put over child safety and the laws designed to protect children on the internet are not being enforced.

We're grateful to have you by our side. I hope you will consider supporting the work of Enough Is Enough® and help FUND THE FIGHT!

Together, let's be the voice of action and change!
