Congressional Internet Caucus
The Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee includes a diverse group of public interest, non profit and industry groups working to educate the Congress and the public about important Internet-related policy issues. This site contains information about the program and activities of the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee.


Cyberangels
CyberAngels seeks to prevent Internet users from becoming the victims of online criminal activity be working to prevent Internet crimes, help reach victims of Internet crimes, and through monitoring the legal developments and policy solutions available to protect Internet users. CyberAngels has created a Connect-Ed program that provides Internet safety information for educators through online classes and published materials and speakers for schools and public libraries. CyberAngels is also developing online programs for parents and families.

The Cyber Law Enforcement Organization
The Cyber Law Enforcement Organization is a network of law enforcement officers, who specialize in cybercrime investigation, training other law enforcement officers and who assist cybercrime victims online. Their tipline handles child pornography, cyberstalking and missing children tips, as well as tips for cyberscams and fraud online.


GetNetWise
GetNetWise seeks to help ensure that Internet users have safe, constructive, and educational or entertaining online experiences. The GetNetWise coalition wants Internet users to be just "one click away" from the resources they need to make informed decisions about their and their family's use of the Internet. GetNetWise has good resources for protecting kids online here: http://kids.getnetwise.org/ Information includes tools for parents, age-appropriate guidelines, sample family safety contracts, good websites for kids, and also has fantastic step-by-step tutorials for things like how to check your computer's history, how to set up safe searches on your computer, and how to install and use software. GetNetWise even includes a tool query, where you can enter in exactly what software solution you are looking for, and it will output some recommended resources. Generation MySpace: Helping Your Teen Survive Online Adolescence
Generation MySpace is a great book which provides insights into technology's power over young people and concrete strategies so you can teach kids to use technology safely and responsibly. Author Candice Kelsey does a great job of explaining teen online culture.



I Keep Safe
The iKeepSafe.org website teaches children to safely navigate the Internet through a virtual playground, Faux Paw the Techno Cat's adventures in storybooks, an animated video download, and educational games. Educational Materials, including worksheets and tests, are also available for parents and educators. Ikeepsafe has good parent resources that can be found here: http://ikeepsafe.org/PRC/ Their video tutorials for parents can be found here: http://www.ikeepsafe.org/videos/ The tutorials include information that covers the essentials of protecting your teens and "tweens" online, including information covering social networking, cyberbullying and online harassment. Their 5 Tips in 5 Minutes is also a good, quick resource. We highly recommend viewing the 10 Actions Every Parents MUST Take. The 10-step guide helps parents learn about the software and tools they need to know about to protect their kids online.

But Katiesplace.org is not only for victims, it is also for those who love and care about them, such as their family members, friends and loved ones. Wired Kids is a charity that operates worldwide through its more than ten thousand unpaid volunteers. It also includes providing awareness on Internet-related child sex-trafficking and sex tours designed for child molesters and the threat of pedophile-owned and operated orphanages in tsunami-torn regions.


WiredKids.org
WiredKids has many online safety games for younger children and information for children of all ages as well as helpful information for teachers, parents and law enforcement.


Wired Safety
Wiredsafety facilitates help for online victims of cybercrime and harassment, assists law enforcement worldwide to prevent and investigate cybercrimes, and provides information and education on all aspects of online safety, privacy and security. WiredSafety is headed by Parry Aftab, a mom, international cyberspace privacy and security lawyer and children's advocate. XXXChurch.com (safe site)
The XXXChurch has fantastic resources for teens, parents, ministers and any other individual who may be struggling with an addiction to pornography. The XXXChurch has loads of information on the pornography Industry, the harms of porn, and also has resources for healing and freedom from addiction. Many former members of the pornography Industry have found haven and healing through the ministries of the XXXChurch.

The Exploratorium

Teenangels
Teenangels.org is a group of 13-18 year-old volunteers that have been specially trained by the local law enforcement, and many other leading safety experts in all aspects of online safety, privacy, and security. After completion of the required training, the Teenangels run unique programs in schools to spread the word about responsible and safe surfing to other teens and younger kids, parents, and teachers. At the urging of our Teenangel volunteers, a special group of volunteers will be able to continue as Teenangels after they become 18 years old, & a new group of Tweenangels has been formed for those between 9 & 12 years of age.
