EIE President to Address 2007 VAIS Annual Conference (Nov 5)

On November 5, 2007, President and Chairman of Enough Is Enough® (EIE), Donna Rice Hughes, will be addressing the Virginia Association of Independent Schools' (VAIS) Annual Conference at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The theme for the 2007 Annual Conference is "The Wide Angle: Teaching & Learning Through a Global Lens"; discussions will be framed around the tenets of: thinking differently, learning globally, and teaching responsibly.

Donna will be speaking about how the Internet has become a powerful educational and communications tool for people of all ages, and how the pornography industry, sexual predators and cyberbullies have exploited the Internet, threatening the safety, security and quality of life for students in the United States. Her session will include selections from EIE's Internet Safety 101®: Empowering Parents production, including: victim testimonials, guidelines from enforcement/field experts, and tips and tools from Industry leaders.

VAIS has served since 1973 as the Commonwealth's first resource for independent pre-collegiate education, which promotes the educational, ethical, and professional excellence in its member schools. VAIS is recognized by the Virginia Board of Education and the National Association of Independent Schools and is a nonprofit voluntary organization focused on serving and enriching the lives of teachers, administrators and students.
