The technology industry has made substantial progress in making the Internet safer for children. However, much work is to be done. Since 1994, Enough Is Enough has worked with the technology industry (including AOL, MySpace, Microsoft, Disney, and other Internet filtering and monitoring companies) by providing guidance and direction in implementing viable technological solutions. EIE led the technology industry and the Department of Justice under former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno to adopt a Zero-Tolerance Policy against Internet pornography. Dedicated industry leaders are now offering protective measures to include safety features such as filtering devices, Instant Messaging safeguards, and family-friendly Internet Service Providers--all of which create a safer environment for children online.
